This venerable one does not understand what 'talk in third person' means. There is only this venerable one speaking. If the translator is indicating otherwise, it is the fault of the translator, not this venerable one.

This 'coffee' sounds like it is a medicine that makes you reliant on it. Good in the short-term, but terrible in the long. You should refrain from having any until your body recovers and no longer feels ill after going without.

[The translator is able to convey the difference just enough that Daqiang is, for the first time, able to understand what may be happening when people have asked him 'venerable?'. 本座 was being translated in a way that was probably appropriate but that he wasn't really aware of the specifics of. And he knew that not every instance of a language, especially written, was automatically translated. So he fiddled with the message until he found a way he hoped would allow his actual written language to be seen rather than just the translated version of it. At least in the specific cases of the words in question.]

This venerable one is not using {我}. This venerable one is using {本座}. Both mean I or me for the one using them. {本座} is appropriate to this venerable one's station and power.

[If Ren is unfamiliar with 本座 and attempts to have it translated without context, he might get back the literal translation of 'this throne' instead of 'this venerable one'.

As for the coffee...]

Do as you wish.
