I guess I will kick off the new year with a hearty hello! That is, according to this calendar it seems like. Back home this would be the Guardian Moon.

Anyway, that's not really what this is about. While it's a little early to think about gardening, I wouldn't mind getting a head start. My home doesn't really do cold months, you see. Cold nights, sure, but snow and ice? Not really. So I really thought about taking up a hobby of mine, you know?

I went ahead and threw together a list of the plants I am looking to cultivate. Looking for anyone who might be able to help a guy out. I've scribbled some rough drawings together, but ignore my messy handwriting. Embarrassing, I know.

I wouldn't say it's entirely off my list. Aconite can come in pretty handy. Wood Anemones too, really. One of my classmates really liked anemones. Maybe I should add it in her honor.

Damn, that's a lot of flowers. If you're doing some indoor gardening, you might need some window boxes. I made some recently so I can make a few more for you if you want.

As far as pretty or useful? More useful than pretty. The prettier they are the more I might have to warn someone off.

Living and surviving in the wilderness, Genma beat it into his head how to tell what plants are dangerous for people or are safe to make contact with or ingest. None of those plants Claude's asking for are giving him green flags.]

"Bouquet" is a little generous for what I am thinking. I just like being prepared is all. My little hobby has proven to be very helpful to me in the past.

They really aren't. I'm starting to run out of space for my books and parchment.

Hanging planters, Huh... I think a few might be helpful depending on if I can get a hold of some of these items on my list. They'd probably do better starting off hanging like that.

But no, I'm not really looking to start a business. I probably could, but I don't know that I trust people like that.

Dunno how much luck you'll have finding all those here. Lot of the plants here are different from what you and I are used to, so some of them may not even exist here.

I'm not taking it personally, believe me. I don't generally resort to anything fatal unless it is absolutely necessary. Now giving someone a stomach ache? Fair game, if you ask me.

Now I figure that I might have to trial and error a little bit. That's nothing I'm not used to.

Certainly an interesting collection.
I'd be curious to see how this world manages the cultivation of unique plants - there are a few names here I don't recognize, and a few missing from my own world... how interesting.

At any rate! I've not much of a green thumb, personally, *but*, I've procured a few tomes on the local flora and fauna for a friend, and I'd be happy to pass them along! Though this list is quite comprehensive already - I imagine you've done quite a bit of research.

You should have seen what I had access to back home. It won't make your mind spin.

To be fair, even if these exactly plants don't exist here, there are probably some that are comparable or even exist within the same family. Either way, there could be variations so I would have to experiment to see what works and what doesn't.
