Warnings: Bruh Toxic Plants - Though his "notes" won't be legible.
I guess I will kick off the new year with a hearty hello! That is, according to this calendar it seems like. Back home this would be the Guardian Moon.
Anyway, that's not really what this is about. While it's a little early to think about gardening, I wouldn't mind getting a head start. My home doesn't really do cold months, you see. Cold nights, sure, but snow and ice? Not really. So I really thought about taking up a hobby of mine, you know?
I went ahead and threw together a list of the plants I am looking to cultivate. Looking for anyone who might be able to help a guy out. I've scribbled some rough drawings together, but ignore my messy handwriting. Embarrassing, I know.

No aconite or wood anemones? They're helpful additions to most gardens.
[Now, did she clock this list for what it is, or is she just a flower enthusiast?]

[She never went to school, sir, just the college of Magical Murder Forest.]
Maybe larkspur, then. Or a bleeding heart. It depends, do you want them pretty or useful?

[Ranma's handwriting isn't anything to write home about himself, but his is still comprehendible enough to read!
He may not be able to read Claude's addendums and insight to the side, but the names of the plants and the sketches strike him as familiar. Living and surviving in the wilderness, Genma beat it into his head how to tell what plants are dangerous for people or are safe to make contact with or ingest. None of those plants Claude's asking for are giving him green flags.]
You looking to make a special bouquet for a special someone?
[Coy way of asking "yo bro are you gonna poison someone?"]
no subject
"Bouquet" is a little generous for what I am thinking. I just like being prepared is all. My little hobby has proven to be very helpful to me in the past.

those sure are poisons!!! even without the note reading sometimes you're a walking encyclopedia. huh! interesting. well, anyway, ]
Certainly an interesting collection.
I'd be curious to see how this world manages the cultivation of unique plants - there are a few names here I don't recognize, and a few missing from my own world... how interesting.
At any rate! I've not much of a green thumb, personally, *but*, I've procured a few tomes on the local flora and fauna for a friend, and I'd be happy to pass them along! Though this list is quite comprehensive already - I imagine you've done quite a bit of research.
no subject
You should have seen what I had access to back home. It won't make your mind spin.
[ The monastery had its own greenhouse and being king? Well... One can only guess! ]
To be fair, even if these exactly plants don't exist here, there are probably some that are comparable or even exist within the same family. Either way, there could be variations so I would have to experiment to see what works and what doesn't.
[ Anyone want to be a test subject? ]
Though I wouldn't mind getting my hands on more knowledge! I'll never say no to that.

[These aren't plants he recognizes because none of them are the ones Tighnari yelled at him about so Kaveh is blissfully unaware what Khalid is doing.
Listen he's not the one who took Amurta electives.]

That is quite a list. I cannot help grow them, but depending on your desired aesthetics, you may want to add goat's rue, nightshade, great bindweed, belladonna, and rhododendron. Sycamores and nettle trees could provide for the mistletoe.
[ Sycamore: Curiosity
Nettle Tree: Plan
Goat's Rue: Reason (may cause headache or muscular weakness)
Nightshade: Skepticism, dark thoughts, silence (very toxic)
Great Bindweed: Insinuation (toxic, containing calystegine alkaloids)
Rhododendron: Danger (toxin called grayanotoxin in their pollen and nectar) ]

[ Because lethal usually isn't. Just something strong enough to make someone sick. Not to mention people would REALLY think that he's up to no good if he uses such obvious ones. ]
Though some I might have to look into a little more.

I might be able to help you, as it turns out. The old Captain's lady had a specially attached greenhouse for herself, and there's plenty of goodies in there we still take pretty good care of.
If you haven't found a better source, why don't we chat over those drinks I promised? Otherwise, let me know when you're ready to cash in on the favor.
no subject
Now what I was hoping for here is that, yes, someone would have a source for me to utilize.

That, of course, only makes him all the more curious.]
I've some rhubarb in my own garden I would be happy to share to help you get started. Largely used for pies, admittedly. Given the rest of your list, I'm fairly certain that's not what your intent is, but it is beautifully sharp nonetheless!
no subject
I mean, it could be my intent. In a roundabout way, of course.
Even so, I'd appreciate some starts if you have them!

I'm not sure about taking care of plants, but if you need to find some in the wild, my nose could probably sniff some out.

Sniff some out? Aaare you talking literally?
