First Bowl [Ship Planning Video]

[Kotori planned on this being a text post. Keyword being planned, because the tortoiseshell cat on her shoulder decided to bat at the light box and press the "live video" button.]

Ah! Slowburn-chan, no--!

[Oh. They're live. Lovely. Not how she wanted this to go, and her face is RED on camera, but no choice but to roll with it.]

Ahaha, um... hi, everyone. So um... I meant to text this, but... I guess I have a few questions?

So someone brought up the idea of a restaurant ship, one that'd be open to both sides and serve food from our worlds as well as recipes from this one, and... I kind of like that?

B-but I'm not that good a cook yet, let alone able to run a restaurant! So... anyone interested in being a head chef? And ideas for names? And any recipes you'd like included? Sorry I know this is a lot... and thank you...

[And this is why she wanted this to be a text.]

That will be fine. So long as the whole thing does not stink of fish, it will be acceptable. It is the smell more than the taste that I find so off-putting.

And I am glad they are to your liking. They are yours to do with as you wish.

Hearth cake does not have any oat in it.. I believe it is flour, butter, sugar, dried fruits. Perhaps mixed with milk? I have never made it, so I am unsure all of what goes into it.

Pig oat mash is apples, dried salt pork or a smoked bacon, dried rolled oats, berries, and ale, though some substitute ale for water. It's very good, I have made it a number of times.

I suppose yes. It is like a porridge but thicker. I would be glad to teach it to you, though I find that the butter available here is not as rich as the butter we would use back home.

I believe the closest thing I have seen to a Hallas has been what I have heard called a deer?

Yes, it's typically a companion of the Dalish.. ah, nomadic elves of my world. They do not hunt Hallas so much as use them as a human might use a cow for milk.
