Scrambled Egg Zone Act I

Type: VIDEO
Sender ID: reneggadetinkerer (Dr. Robotnik)
To: General Public
Subject: Introductions
Warnings: ~THEATRICS~

[The first thing you might notice on the screen is a bulbous pink nose. A nose from under which a massive, aburn, magnificent mustache extends off to either side like the bristles of two enormous brushes. Only then might you notice the glint of dark spectacles completely enshrouding the eyes of the one beginning this broadcast. As he pulls his shellphone away, you get the full picture; a rotund man that simply exudes the aura of a mad genius.]

Attention! As loathsome as it is to admit this, I appear to be stranded on this overly moist macrocosm like the rest of you. The accommodations I've found myself in are abhorrent, frankly, and I refuse to live like a deckswab. As such, I'm taking it upon myself to begin searching for more appropriate facilities so that I might continue my work. If anyone out there knows of any...let's say...recently vacated warehouses or factories...or, better yet, an island that I may lay claim to as my own, I can repay you with the knowledge that you've helped secure the great Dr. Ivo Robotnik a place where he can properly work. For the betterment of...everyone.

Apparently. Pah.

Oh, and if there's anyone out there versed in this "magitech" I keep hearing about, make yourself known! I'll have you disclose your findings so that I might better ascertain the nature of this technological power. Better yet, if you have anything worth disassembling, bring it to me.

But don't expect compensation!

A pleasure- and if you do not mind my asking, which would you prefer? [The politeness was just a part of him after all-] There are a few others around, that I have worked with on various projects, you may run into eventually as well.

I would be, as I've taken extensive notes on every discovery, as well as the progress made by the magitech community as a whole. Improvements on power sources, how much of a charge certain items can take- there is quite a bit.

Most have gone the way of weaponry, while my interests have skewed of either defensive or things more for every day use. I still keep note of it all, of course.
fractales: (Always some argument to be made)

Dr. Eggman it is, and I would have to agree. A reason I do allow others to simply call me Turo, rather than including Professor each and every time.

[The fact that he often had flashbacks to what was essentially a laser railgun incinerating's a few heads off a hydra goose within seconds— reason it had been taken apart and never spoken off again.

There was just a hum after a very brief moment of silence.]

Well, there are plenty of canons, even guns, meant to be mounted on ships. Even if the two armadas are not often fighting each other I suppose both sides have their needs of wanting to defend themselves on open water given some of the creatures here. Ghost ships or sharkships and the like.
fractales: (Probably at this point yeah)

[personal profile] fractales 2025-01-09 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose most do not see much of a point in them, and there are beings here that fly without need of ships- such as the dragons. There is a Leviathan that takes flight itself, along with those that reside on it whenever it moves. I suppose you could also count Frostsinger's flying sleigh powered by her own magic.
fractales: (Iron Bundle no thoughts head empty)

[personal profile] fractales 2025-01-09 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
Aerial travel takes far less time than nautical, so I would agree that developing such a thing here could come with great benefits. The issue is more creating the technology from scratch in some areas, and finding enough material in others.

I do not mind- [Here he would actually turn the shellphone for a moment so- well, Iron Bundle could be seen, glowing blue LEDs staring at the camera; not a single thought visible.] Iron Bundle here had it, though you might have also caught a glimpse of Iron Valiant.

[Another tip of the camera, showing the same pink LED eyed metallic creature from before- something sharper behind that gaze and reaching a little over Turo's shoulders in height.]
fractales: (hose memories not just faded)

[personal profile] fractales 2025-01-09 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I am afraid they are creatures from my world. They are from a future timeline, pulled through by the time machine I constructed, where they evolved into a mix of mechanical and biological life forms.

[There had been a glance back towards Valiant at a low toned but very computerized Vi. Reaching over and picking up a plush that looked like some odd brown fox and handing it to Valiant

who handed it down to Bundle, making those very dial-up toned sounds of joy.]

I have, however, started tinkering in creating an automaton- small, given the idea that pushed me towards moving ahead.

[He couldn't deny there being some irony present.]
fractales: (We can see what it comes back to)

[personal profile] fractales 2025-01-09 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed! I have only theories of how it happened, give there is no real way to see the world they were being pulled from, but it is no less fascinating to study and care for them.

They are far stronger than the creatures in my own time, and some are the more aggressive side as well- but that aggression could very easily be due to the fact they were pulled through a time machine and suddenly being in a different environment.

[Biology definitely one of his fields given just- the tone of voice.]

I would be happy to share what I know of the magitech here, along with progress of that particular project. Most of my time was spent collecting the material needed for both body and power source.

[No matter, he couldn't help but fully believe that information... should be shared.]

A lot could easily be missed when working alone, calculations easily being off and only have the present creatures to try and base off of while guessing at any evolution point when so many creatures have evolution as part of their natural life cycle by simply growing stronger. They still have basic needs that more organic life requires, and having multiple of the same one did at least help in comparing things such as average behavior and anything more-

I do mean physically, yes. The armor provided by the metal does help as well, but they still fall into having the same weaknesses to certain Types- which could be thought of as their main elemental alignment if that is a base you are more familiar with? Most are unfamiliar with Pokémon here, after all.

More something that can get into far more narrow places whenever exploring, or looking for materials. I am hoping to make it compatible with the shellphones to get a view of what it 'sees' as well.
fractales: (It's something always there)

[personal profile] fractales 2025-01-09 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
No surprise, it seems they do not commonly exist in most other worlds; a reason I have created a Pokémon Encyclopedia of sorts for those curious here. Still, yes, it is what they are called and to be more exact those with me are Paradox Pokémon, given they are from some timeline's future.

[There was movement before Turo pulled a brass and copper ball that fit into his palm, and with a tap of a finger against it the ball uncurled-]

Fully autonomous once it is coded, as I also wish for some ability to control it remotely if the need comes for something more precise. I would appreciate some help in coding, of course.
fractales: (I thought this was further up)

[personal profile] fractales 2025-01-10 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
You would be welcome to, as I have added even the more 'normal' pokémon from all over to it. I also have my copy of the Violet Book that was written by some early explorers that first encountered the Paradox Pokémon; it is what set me on the path that led me to becoming a Pokémon Professor. [For better or worse, the entire reason he existed.] A book I have had since childhood.

[That Arven had gotten, done his own research on a different section contained within; notes still on the pages. Even the Professor's own notes elsewhere.

A slight tip of his head, like a half nod.]

I am used to looking for materials here, as being able to control earth, stone, and crystal with one of the magical abilities I acquired has helped locate it. Otherwise I am also used to handmaking tools and machines.

Has come in rather handy in this world when I cannot find something, even if it takes a little longer.

[Also part of how he went hunting for various elemental gems and crystals, but that was beside the point for the time being.]

You would of course have my thanks, along with updates as I refine their design- mostly finding ways to help strengthen joints and anything else. If wanted, I would of course provide you with a number of them you may tinker with as you please.

While I did spend many years working alone, I find working with others here has accomplished quite a bit.
fractales: (So many thinks)

[personal profile] fractales 2025-01-10 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
It is the best way I know to show my gratitude when I feel words alone are not quite suitable.

[More so in an exchange of sorts- wasn't it good to share what the end of working together produced?]

Most technology of my own world is not near that level, for the most part. Then again we have little need, given Pokémon known as Rotoms have the ability to posses electronics of all sorts and sort of stand-in for it. I would enjoy hearing of what you have built over your years at it.

I have found them very useful, for smaller practical things or dealing with things that seek to harm. To the point I have actually gotten two of the tattoos that grant the use of elemental magic; what I mentioned before, and plants.
