As to your original question, what works for my husband and I is something which can be both memorable and meaningful for the both of us. It does not have to be anything grandiose, but it should present an opportunity for the both of you to express your feelings adequately, with no room for misinterpretation.

Of course, everyone has their own preference for these things, so some degree of flexibility would be beneficial. Sometimes it is the spontaneity that becomes the most rewarding moments.
