Stop going into the rifts. They don't take you wherever they show.

[Shadow has no chill. But he did say he wanted to know how they would fare in a proper fight the last time they spoke.

Now, how does he want to approach this? Blink once and Shadow will suddenly be right before Freminet, not long after they had given the single. Fists raised, but he isn't striking. A surprise fake out to see how they would react to his opponent suddenly in strike range.]

[And that's just what he does. Despite Shadow faking his attack, Freminet doesn't hesitate to attempt to slash him with his claymore. Real or not, he wasn't going to take any chances. That's what he was always taught.]

[They didn't hesitate. Acceptable. He responds accordingly based on their swing. It's low, so he jumps to avoid it. Keeping momentum, he dives at Freminet to try and land a punch.]

[Taking a step back, he attempted yet another swing but it was on higher this time around. He still wasn't sure how to figure out Shadow's movements but he had to be on the defensive.]

[As he falls back, his feet land onto their sword. Using the higher swing momentum, he leaps off their sword, flying over and landing behind Freminet now. He rushes in once more, trying to land a kick this time while they're open.]

[Immediately, he tried to block his attack by placing his sword between him and his leg. However, it was too late as the kick managed to make Freminet take a step back or two. Still, he had to be on guard to see what he would do next.]

[His strikes don't pack as much of a punch as they usually do. He isn't beating on the blue hedgehog afterall, but it's enough to keep the pressure on Freminet. At least until he knows how much he can get away with.]

Is this how you handle faster opponents? [The question comes as he rushes at he, swinging his leg to try and trip them up.]

N-No! I just not used to dealing with faster enemies!

[Because usually it was Lyney who could attack quicker and faster while he moved slower and dealt heavier damage. Perhaps that's what his weakness lies as he attempted to move another step back before attacking one more.]

My brother is usually the quicker one!

So he handles them for you? [And what if he's not here, like right now? He jumps, then lands onto their sword. The force behind it causing it to strike the ground instead as he presses a foot on it.]

You're too predicatable. The sword isn't your only weapon. [He kicks their claymore upwards, lunging forward to try and land a hit to their stomach while they're wide open.]

More or less!

[All the while dealing with the blow of Shadow hitting him in the stomach. Mumbling to himself, he couldn't help but wince in pain. And yet, he decided to keep on going before attempting to attack. Even it was a little sloppy.]

He's...usually the main fighter...

[His efforts to keep pushing on is good, but meaningless when their performance gets sloppy.]

Don't just strike without thinking. [As the sword comes at him, with a well-aimed kick, he forces it to swing upwards and back towards Freminet.]

Attack if you believe it will land a hit. [Swinging in hopes something different will happen is ineffective. He pursues them while they're still open, hoping to sweep at their leg to knock them off their feet. ]

[This was no different from his training with Father. For all of this training, he knew that he could withstand a lot of injuries and pain. Unlike Father or Lyney, he was slow in his movements due to the Claymore. Mumbling to himself once more, he took another step back.

He wasn't sure what Shadow's movements were going to be next but he had to read his opponent first.]

[His way of fighting is certainly aggressive, refusing to let up less his foes is given an opportunity to turn the tide. Even as the leg sweep fails, he's already thinking of the next strike. He advances as Freminet steps back, swinging another punch his way.]

[With that, Freminet stands guard and puts himself on a defensive stance. He didn't know if his next move will work but he has to give it a try.]

[Freminet effectively prevents Shadow from getting another direct hit in. Few more attempts from his current position proves futile, so he'll come at him from a different angle, from the side. Will they predictably try to retaliate with a swing of their sword, or try something a different approach?]

After 10,000 years later....

[Instead, Freminet kept a defensive stance as he continued to try to read Shadow's attacks. Of course, it was proving to be challenging with how he seems to be changing his position. Although, he knows he should try something different, he was also aware Shadow was predicting that at any minute.

Instead, he attempted to use his Cyro and shoot shards at him.]

[...The ice shards are new. It doesn't deter him as he practically punches the ice shards, sending them flying everywhere and few possibly back towards Freminet. ]

[As he blocks them with his own wall of ice, he attempted to throw some more his way as a distraction. Although that doesn't stop Freminet from running up to him and attempting a swing from his sword at him.]

[Freminet will find more success this time. He could choose to avoid both, but he isn't here to prove his own capabilities. There is no equal to the Ultimate Lifeform anyway. So he lets those ice shards hit him, the sword he deem a larger threat. His fur stings from the cold, but he manages to kick their sword away. There is no follow-up from Shadow this time, not yet. So what will Freminet do?]

[Freminet knew he wasn't going to kick him as hard as he should. He was and never will be a fighter like his siblings. Instead, he attempted to swing him with a kick despite knowing it wouldn't do much damage.]

[The kick is easily blocked by Shadow, but he isn't retaliating. His arm remains up as long as their leg is there.] Hm. [What will Freminent do now?]

[It was clear that Shadow wasn't doing anything. It was then, Freminet had to wonder just how far he could do. For a brief moment, there was a certain look in his eyes that screamed out something but he shook his head.

Instead, he picked up his sword once more before attempted to swing it across him.]

[...Was he imagining it, or did they give him a strange look for a moment there? But then came the sword once more. He ducks and sidesteps, a fist coming up onto the flatside of the blade to knock it off course and catch Freminet off-balance from the swing.

He'll then backstep away from him, no follow-up, just eyes them. For just a moment, he thought he saw something unexpected, especially from what he's seen of Freminet so far. Why it gives him pause, because it wasn't a whatever it was, gave him a bad feeling.]

[As he took a few steps back, he realized what he had done before mumbling to himself. If Shadow was as observant as he was, then he knew what he had saw.]

Sorry, I...I didn't mean to do that.

[He said in a low voice before lowering his shoulders. While his guard wasn't down, he wasn't putting up a fight either. Looking at his sword, he placed himself in a defensive position once more.]

...No. It means I should try harder. [He disappears in a blur, moving faster than the average person can follow. He reappears near their side and swings a punch with more force behind it than before. He wants to see it again.]
