Hello, everyone. My name is Naminé and I have a very small question for anyone willing to give an answer.

[ At first her voice starts out pretty small, but as she speaks more she seems more certain of what she wants to ask. ]

I've had some wonderful people offer to help me learn more about magic here. So I'd really like to narrow down what kind to focus on at first. Would anyone be willing to share their experience?

Either with magic they've learned here or what you may know back home! What gave you found to be the most helpful? The thing that's best helped you to protect and help your friends?

Any answer, long or small, is equally appreciated. Thank you so much.

I guess that's what happens more often than not when you're surrounded by a bunch of water, huh?

[He nods.]

I don't mind helping you, though! I'd love to! My favourite magic would probably be... Stuff like firaga, waterga and thundaga. Anything that makes a huge boom, you know?

[Of course Sora's more favourite spells are the big, loud and destructive ones. For such a cute boy, he packs way too much destructive power. And he likes it!]

Looks like it! It'd be hard to avoid going in it at some point. [ And she wouldn't have really avoided it anyway, she'd been curious about what was down in the depths.

Now that gets a small laugh out of her that she tries to stifle. ] That's a very you answer that I really should have expected. Does waterga really make a boom though?

[oathkeeper]

[He's suddenly very curious what shape she would have taken if she was down in the ocean. He'll have to catch her next time to see just what sea creature she is.

And he chuckles too!] Haha! You'd be really surprised! Water can deal some serious damage! I've seen water bombs bigger than you could ever dream of!

[Sora is maybe overexaggerating just a little bit. But don't rest on his waterga magic. It's pretty dangerous, too!]

Have you seen them or been the one to make them? [ probably both if she knows him. ]

Maybe you could give me a demonstration sometime!

[oathkeeper]

Both! [Yep.] I've used waterga in a big battle or two and it's gotten me out of a few pinches.

[Magic in Kingdom Hearts in general can be pretty overpowered if it's used right.]

I can show you anytime you want! Maybe I can even teach you a few water spells if that works out!

[Honestly? He's just pretty excited about the chance to hang out with her.]

I'd love that. I think I might go with water now that I've talked to a few people. It sounds like it has the potential to do everything I may want to be able to do.

[ Decision made. ] And maybe more. Someone suggested I could maybe try doing things like someone we both know.

[ She's not sure if she could, but if she does, she's definitely saying dance water dance. ]

Sora snorts with a laugh.] I dunno, so long as you don't carry around a big guitar-thing.

[He puts a finger up.]

But water is a really good spell set to work on! I bet it could do all sorts of things with it. More than just blowing stuff up.

I bet he'd correct you about it being a sitar if he were here. Maybe I will start learning one!

[ not really. ]

Someone mentioned you can even learn to heal with it or make shields!

[oathkeeper]

Sitar? Guitar? What's the difference!

[Sorry, Demyx.]

Healing or shields, huh? Yeah! I knew it, that sounds great! You'll be a great mage in no time, Naminé! I'm excited for you!

Now that I think about it, I'm not completely sure...

[ somewhere he's crying ]

It means a lot to me for you to believe in me! I'll do my best to live up to it

[Big wood instruments with strings that go twang. That's all Sora understands. But goodness, maybe he should broaden his horizons about music and instruments one of these days.]

Haha! Of course I believe in you! It's just really great to be able to see you picking stuff up that you like too, you know?

That's ...what I want to be able to do here. Even if maybe it's a bit selfish

Why would it be selfish?

[No way. NO WAY. Naminé is a sweet precious girl who can do whatever she wants! He'll die on this hill!]

It just feels that way? To just want to focus on figuring out what works for me or what I like.

[oathkeeper]

[His expression softens.]

For a long time, you couldn't do that, right? Now that you can, I think that's a good thing. A really good thing.

[obliviscere]

[ She nods her head hesitantly. ]

Thank you. I'm... Glad for the chance. And grateful. I know a lot was given up for it.

[ and she does feel bad about one particular loss ]

[oathkeeper]

[He can maybe hear that little bit of hesitation in her voice.]

I know you're grateful, Naminé. But if there's anyone who deserves to be her own person and to find things you like and to find out who you wanna be? It's you. You gave up a lot for other people too. It's okay to do things for yourself now. You don't have to be scared.

[Sora really hopes she feels safe doing that.]

I'm not really sure I deserved it more than he did after everything.

[ But it also feels bad to not embrace that gift either. So, she's definitely not going to do that. ]

[oathkeeper]

It might feel that way, but I don't think there's any right or wrong or who deserves it more or not.

[He nods.]

And as much as it's hard to remember, I think that's what he wanted to happen, too. I think it'll be okay, Naminé.

Thank you, that's really very nice of you to say. And I do know you're right but...

[ She trails off for a moment. ]

I'm not sure it really helps that much if that's what he wanted to happen. It still doesn't seem...right. I'm very grateful but wish I'd gotten a say.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora can relate to what had happened. It wasn't ideal and Sora feels bad that about it too but ... Sora knows what it feels like to want to save someone important. Saving that person and giving them a second chance means everything. ... Even if it costs everything. If only they could have saved everyone... Sora really tried.]

I know.

[She did deserve a say. But...]

Things happened fast, at the time. And he had to make a split decision. If it was me, I'd probably do the same thing. Because saving you would mean everything to me. Maybe he felt the same way.

[obliviscere]

[ For a few seconds she just falls completely silent. She doesn't want to seem ungrateful in any way but... ]

I know it's hard to make decisions that fast, especially when it's about someone you care about. But...what about the person being left behind because of that choice? What if saving you or him would mean everything to me?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora nods... He thinks a lot about what Kairi would tell him if they could talk. He also thinks a lot about how much she must have cried when he vanished.]

What would you say to him if you could say something, right now?

[obliviscere]

Oh ... That's... hard to really think about. There's so much. I think maybe I'd be angry, tell him I'm very appreciative for this chance but that he deserved one too. That...I wish we could have talked about it...

[ She trails off for a few seconds. ]

I wouldn't want him to think I wasn't grateful but I'm also... Maybe a little bit angry?

[oathkeeper]

I think that's all really fair, Naminé.

[Maybe Kairi would have said similar things to him if she could have said things to Sora before he did what he did.]

I wish we could go back and try and change things and save him too.

[Sora really did try to save everybody. It would have been wonderful if he could have done it perfectly.]
