have you ever had a random thought come to your head when you least expect it and you just don’t know what the answer to it would be? but you just can’t stop thinking about it? and you’ve gotta say it to somebody?

An apology is just words from another person. Perhaps it can help you understand the motivation behind their actions, but that does not change the past.

I would also say it depends on the severity of the offense, but given you have turn this private, I suspect it to be grave indeed.

Yeah, it definitely doesn't.

I don't know if it's that severe but it's...complicated. Basically, I've gotten two apologies from two people who...we've got history. And I just, don't know how to deal with them.

I didn't even think I would ever get one.

Were it not severe, you would not be debating on the apology at this moment. Ruining one's newspaper and lying to someone for many years on a matter of importance hold two different weights.

Furthermore, there is no reason why you must decide this moment. Those two people have wronged you, and if they try to pressure you into accepting their apologies, then I question the validity of their apologies.

[They really haven't, is the thing. They've left Roxas to his own devices and he gets into his own head fairly quickly.]

It's just. I know there's people who would probably want me to. But I don't know know if I want to, yet.

That appears to be the case. You are still thinking of this in terms of others rather than for your own benefit.

Do you believe they are sincere in their apologies and that their behavior going forward has changed? There is no need to entertain ideas of accepting the apology if they have not committed to either.

I think it was sincere. I'm just waiting to see if anything has changed.

[He supposes that he and Saix have gotten along, for lack of a better term, in their sparse interactions. Riku...it remains to be seen.]

Do you have a Ring of Returning or some other way of transporting yourself somewhere quickly? You could invite them to work on a MANTA quest together, and if things turn awry because they have not changed, you can remove yourself from the situation.

Is there a place to get them?

[ Sherlock puts the location of the place he often gets his rewards unique purchases. ]

You will have to invest some money into it if you want a versatile tool, but even at its lowest enchanted state, you can still transport yourself once per day to a set location.

I would recommend purchasing some of the lower enchantments later for the ability to set specific and multiple locations or using it more often.

[ Sherlock has been able to cut the amount of time he gets seasick in half because he only has to worry about the trip there. The trip back is instant with his ring. ]

[Roxas may or may not be taking notes. He's gotten used to not using Corridors of Darkness, but hasn't really considered other forms of magical transportation.]

Additionally, should you have concerns about going on a MANTA quest alone with those people, I could perhaps accompany you. Although, do remember that my skill set differs from yours.

[ No fighting giant creatures at the ocean's shore. Sherlock would be absolutely useless then and likely more of a liability than aid. ]
