Not really--at least not that I'd have taken as a warning sign. I'd heard of it happening of course, but I expected to see a ship in a bottle again--only my real ship.

What I got was a flash of blue light like water and then I was sort of falling backwards. In hindsight it seems like a portal spell, or maybe someone cut the cord that tied me here.

That must have been pretty disorienting. Much like coming here in the first place, I guess— I narrowly missed landing straight in the ocean when I first showed up.

How do you feel, being back again?

It's interesting. [That's a little too thin, as an answer... how to word it.] There's a lot of things I missed, like the mess with the whale hunters and Elah. It felt like unfinished business since I vanished when all that was starting to go sour.

I can understand that. You saw the start of something, but didn't get to see how it all wrapped up. Depending on how invested you are in a situation, that could be... dissatisfying.
