Warnings: Swearing/General idiocy/etc. Both callmekacchan and heir_conditioned might be responding. I'm under the weather so I may be slow and pre-apologize.

When the shellphone post revs up, it's someone mid conversation putting said shellphone down for one reason or another. "--ave to, Bakugo. Eventually everyone has to."

"Can't convince me of that. What you can convince me of is you going and fucking yourself."

"...Why would I be able to convin-"

"Shut your mouth, shut it and keep it shut."

There's a long silence and a frustrated groan/sigh combo, somehow defying the sounds from being separate. "Say what you were saying."

"Why would I be able to co-"

"NOT. THAT ONE, MORON. BEFORE THAT."

"Oh."

"Ughh."

"You have to, Bakugo. Eventually everyone has to."

"Gimme one good reason."

"Having a broad spectrum of friends."

The person speaking next makes a noise that's supposed to emulate a buzzer, "Hard pass."

God that's even worse than a regular pass. Hmm... "Being able to reach out to more people in general?"

"Not on your life, keep trying."

"Networking...?"

"For what?"

"To bring more people toget-"

"Nope."

There's another sigh, this time just a regular one and it's from the first of the two speakers.

"Because if something happens and someone needs Dynamight, how will they know to reach out to you if they don't know that you're capable, willing and able? Through Midoriya and I? They will reach out to us and us alone. I think that would be a disservice to themselves and to you, you're an accomplished hero and I think people deserve to learn that from your mouth."

A small silence yet again. Something that when the next speaker speaks up finds him less animated and less uninclined.

"...Whatever. I don't care. Set me up with your friends or whatever."

"I only know a few people he-- Oh. Huh."

"What?"

There's rustling and obviously they're getting closer.

"I must have hit the broadcast."

"YOU WHAT?"

"I must have hit the broadca-."

"IDIOT!"

"Ah, Hello. This is Shoto Todoroki. If anyone can hear me. Please meet one of my best friends Katsuki Baku--"

"--NO."

There's a grabbing noise, scraping the phone before the feed ends.

Maybe not. But then again maybe. Bakugo has met more nice people, I have met more nice people, but if it was intentional next time that wouldn't be such an accident. We get to talk, too now.

[They're on voice, so Shoto's head tilt can't be seen but rest assured it's there. Not to mention he's going to be thinking on what a happy accident could mean, or represent in other accidents. Maybe this is the only one. God and Rody are the only ones that know.]

Mhm. [It does.] You don't have to thank me at all, that you did is enough for me or Bakugo, or Midoriya. You had a hand in helping Midoriya when we couldn't, that means a lot to me. Very much.

You shouldn't forget, though. Without you we couldn't have done more than our parts. You saved us, too.

Aw, man, you're gonna make me blush here. I wasn't really doing anything heroic, you know. I just wanted to make sure my siblings were okay.

[Nevermind the fact that Pino is currently cooing and all but dancing around him, fluttering with the praise. Another thing he's glad Shoto can't see.]

I guess we can say that makes us both even? We helped each other out, in the end.

Yes, I can accept that, Rody. That makes you a teammate, I'd like that. With all that Midoriya had to say, I'm assured by it.

[Man, Izuku really speaks highly of him, huh? He's... actually kinda touched by that. Pino coos at the thought, her sounds probably echoing in the voice without Rody knowing.]

Teammates, huh? You know, I like the sound of that.

[He answers without hesitation. It's always lovely to hear Rody's pet, too, that's always a point of happy for Shoto. He likes Pino. He's glad that they came with Rody. Totally nice that he has his pet that Shoto has no idea is not a pet.]

Then, that's what we can say. I don't see a problem with it. There aren't many of us here and I'd rather be able to refer to you three as people who are my teammates.

[Shoto's just lucky that he didn't see the freak-out of Rody not actually having Pino until he got a magic tattoo. That was a panic for him.]

Well then, consider us teammates! Even though I'm not a hero like the rest of you, it's nice to be included and all that.
