TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

It's my father's quirk. In my world, most people are born with a special meta ability. That's his.

What about yours? What is it that you do?

My quirk is called One for All. I can control how strong my attacks are with various power percentages.

That's amazing.

It sounds like you might be the strongest person if you can do that.

[fullgauntlet]

Strongest person? I'm not too sure about that. But I'm strong enough when I need to be! That's the important part.

[scooba]

How so...?

Could you explain it a little bit more?

[fullgauntlet]

Well... If someone is trapped under falling rocks I could use my quirk to be able to save them.

But I just... I still have a lot to learn. I want to be the strongest hero there is but there is still a lot more for me to do before I can. I want to use my power properly, that's all.

[scooba]

Even so, it's still amazing you can do that.

To think that there is a world where you can gain powers such as 'quirks' makes me think that it is no different than getting a Vision.

[fullgauntlet]

It is... It's all thanks to my quirk. I feel very thankful to have one that is so useful.

What is a Vision if you don't mind me asking?

...I'm glad to hear. Especially since you have such a powerful quirk, you should make sure that you should use it for good....

But as for a Vision, it's a power from the Gods of my world. It's a way for them to share their power to us after proving ourselves.

[fullgauntlet]

That's all I want to do with mine. I'm studying to be the best hero in the world. With this quirk, I think I can do that. It's my dream.

A Vision sounds incredible. A power from a God...! I wonder what that might be like?

That's rather admirable, I really hope that you can do that one day. Especially when you seem so determined.

But as for a Vision, I have one. I have the power of Cyro, which means that I can use some ice in my attacks. It's...something I hold rather dearly.

Now that I think about it I think Kaveh-san has told me a little about Visions before. It's incredible that you have one too. An ice one seems like its very useful. I have a best friend who can use ice himself, it's powerful in a fight.

Hm! He is. His name is Shoto Todoroki. His quirk allows him to use both fire and ice.

[scooba]

But...

Won't that mean the ice just melts? It is amazing he can use both but it is interesting to see such contradictory powers...

[fullgauntlet]

It doesn't! He actually has great control over both of them whenever he needs. He can use bursting flames one moment and then create a massive ice wall the next. He's worked hard to control both! And has made it all his own.

[Izuku is so proud of his bestie.]

I see...

I can tell that you are happy for him. Perhaps I can find a way to meet him somehow.

I'm sure Todoroki-kun would be happy to meet a new friend sometime! He's very friendly and kind.

I don't mind making new friends. Honestly, I used to be pretty bad at making friends, myself.
