Fret not, the captain of my crew very quickly made a bid for the ring. I can only hope he does not intend to make the rest of us kiss his boots.

I did consider passing it over, but it seems I was the only one to answer their call for help. So many of you here and yet none deigned to lift a hand when asked.

Can't take every request that appears. Just not good for work-life balance.

I so happen to have an abundance of time. But no, I haven't been taking every request. This particular one happened to catch my eye.

What was it that made it appealing?

A 'locked room mystery'. I thought such things only existed in books.

And did it live up to your expectations?

No. It wasn't even a deliberate act. 'Twas some petty thief who trapped themselves within a magical artefact after becoming too greedy. I turned them in as soon as possible and left.

Almost normal with some of the things that happen around here.

It almost makes me want to challenge someone to create a true 'locked room' mystery.
