Hello, and good day- I am Professor Turo for those who I have yet to meet.

This message is more for those of you that also visited Snaxburg Island and either had one of the creatures there follow you off of it, or may have... unfortunately eaten any of them.

[As he spoke, Turo's tone may have remained calm but there was a serious note to it. There did happen to be a Strabby perched on the desk behind him, a pink bow tied around it, which Turo did know was around but didn't know was there at the moment. There was, however, one he did know was going to be in frame.

Held very much like a hamburger he lifted up a BBQ Bunger so that googly eyes were facing the phone's camera.]

I do in fact mean those creatures like this- for those who might not have gone to the island, or even those who may need a reminder. These creatures that are known as Bugsnax are parasitic creatures that only have that nature turn into something dangerous upon being eaten. So again-

[After setting Chipotle the BBQ Bunger back down.]

Do not eat the Bugsnax, they are parasitic in nature upon being consumed.

It's hard to imagine when all you've known is captivity or servitude. Or both.

I wouldn't have ever known it was a possibility if I hadn't seen it in the heads of my handlers.

I had the memories of my creator, along with watching the young trainer while monitor their progression in helping the young Miraidon.

I may never see the world I am from personally, but this one is not bad.

You don't think you'll be able to do anything about the protocol?

(Sidestep doesn't know Turo can't survive without the ambient energy in the crater or the magic of this world. They think it's some kind of programmed limitation or something that kept him trapped, and that the protocol is the only reason he can't return.)

No. I was created as part of the Time Machine's security system- so long as I am there, it will be a danger to those that come to shut it down or are see as threats.

So long as I exist in that world, the Time Machine will never shut down.

It is why I was about to step through the time machine, even if I told the children that it was so I could see the future that the Professor dreamed of.

I have no way of knowing if I would last long enough once on the other side.

(That's... the beings brought through the time machine were able to survive in Turo's world just fine, so why didn't Turo think he could survive in theirs?)

I do not know if the place I would come out is within the Great Crater of Paldea.

I was unable to leave the area due to the fact my power source would not last long outside of it. It was a relief that I am able to easily recharge here, as I was unsure when I first arrived..

Do you know why it wouldn't last? How are you powering yourself now?

Due to the nature of Terastal Crystals, and the amount of power needed to keep something like me functional. With the amount in Area Zero my systems were well supported by the radiant energy in the air.

Here I suppose it has to do with the magic of this world, how it permeates nearly everything. It may be enough to help keep my core well charged.

So you need to take in ambient energy from the atmosphere to survive. Kind of like how everyone else needs oxygen, I guess.

You can't recharge any other way?

[fractales]

There is not enough energy any other way, unfortunately. I was not created with the thought of ever leaving Area Zero simply because the Crystals are the only thing in my world capable of supporting my existence in a way.

Times like this I could really use a convenient plasma generator.

At least here I've had no issues, so far. I am able to rest, recharge, and remaing functional.

For now, yeah. But it's possible you could run into areas where there isn't enough ambient magic to sustain you, and it seems like the natives want our stay to be temporary.

Does it? Quite a few of them have intermingled with riftfarers like us for quite some time- but it is likely there are some groups that may not think the same.

Still, a valid concern.

I think at least part of it is about stopping the thing that pulls people in and out.

But even if you can stay just fine, I'm pretty sure most other people are leaving.

(He'd be left behind. A bigger prison than the crater, for sure, but...

If he wants to stay it should at least be a choice and not because he has to.)

Even if I wish I could see my world like this- it is safer for me not to return. To ensure that the danger of the Time Machine's continued function doesn't begin again.

This was more than I expected when I had made the decision.

You could go to someone else's world with them, provided their world had ambient magic... or you had an alternative source of power.

That may also mean the Paradox Pokémon with me may come along as well.

Depending on the world and circumstances, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Lots of places you might be able to pass them off as strange robots or something, and if you've got access to somewhere more remote you might not have to worry about people seeing them at all.

I also doubt just your team would really hurt the local ecology unless they can reproduce asexually or something.

(Since they know the latter is a big important thing for him.

Personally, they'd be way more worried about the former.)

I would only wish to isolate them if it still allowed them places to roam freely and safely- for themselves as well.

They are not able to as far as I know, no. It is really only them appearing in great number, as they had been, that could decimate an ecosystem and all it supported.

So you'd want access to a ranch or wilderness area, or a place where the Pokemon could blend in either as strange animals or advanced robots.

They would be taken from their actual home for a third time after all.

[Time Machine, ship in a bottle- whatever may come after this if it were indeed possible to go anywhere else.]

Can always talk to them about that.
