Hello.
I am in need of legal advice regarding a private matter:
Is a marriage contract legally binding if one or more parties involved were under the influence of spiritual possession while it was officiated?
Thank you for your assistance.

They were betrothed in life and died before they could wed. I wanted to help them fulfill their wish to be married so that they could pass on to the Farplane!
[ What happens on the Naughtilust stays on the Naughtilust... until it doesn't. ]
That is what I want to determine for certain. A marriage is supposed to bind body and soul, but in this instance, only the soul wished to be bound in marriage. I want to be certain that the marriage is null between myself and my companion, but remains valid for the spirits.

Then, if they've already moved on, I wouldn't worry about it.
[Enty has no clue how marriage works and doesn't think she'll ever be able to experience it, so her own knowledge is kind of... lacking. But...!]
Since it was meant to tie just the two of them together, not you, I really don't think it was you and whoever the other person was that's actually married, but them.

But Enty's right; Zelda should try to stop worrying about it. ]
I suppose I can see your point. Many others have said the same, that my companion and I are not legally wed because we did not intend to be. It feels like it would be a flimsy excuse in the eyes of the law, but perhaps it isn't and I am worrying over nothing.
