I am in need of legal advice regarding a private matter:

Is a marriage contract legally binding if one or more parties involved were under the influence of spiritual possession while it was officiated?

My thanks. [ Sardonic or not, Zelda replies sincerely. ] Given the unexpectedly-reasonable explanation that the spirit donned my body like clothing, I expect the dubious legality of my marriage will fall in my favor.

(It's a weird mix of both: the concept of suddenly waking up to find that they're married to someone they're close with is perhaps less horrifying than being forced to marry a stranger, but it's still terrifyingly awkward. They don't have a lot of faith in this turning out well.

But this person clearly has a very different view of things, so...

It's really not their business.)

Yeah it'd be pretty awkward if the courts decided that the clothes used in a wedding also counted as being married.

(Would the bride and groom outfits be legally required to be kept together? Worn together? It's a funny train of thought, and they let their mind follow it for the moment.)
