Okay guys, I need you all to settle a bit of an argument Zelda and I are having.

See, we were out shopping for furniture for our new place and she tells me I need a bed. I say "you're right, I do! I know just the type!" So I go and I show her the hammocks because back home, I slept in a hammock. So she says [Darin clears his throat and proceeds to do his best Zelda voice] "Don't be preposterous, a hammock is not a proper bed."

Which is wrong. Because a hammock is totally a bed. Lots of things can be beds. So, to prove my point, I made this chart.



As you can see by this chart that I spent entirely too much time on, the parameters that dictate an objects "bedability" are thus. I think it's a pretty open and shut case.

Anyway, I think this explains why I should be allowed to get a hammock in my room. You guys are on my side on this, right?

I've mostly had a regular bed, I think.

But the hammock and the bean bag chair look like fun

Oh man you don't know what you're missing! Nothing beats napping in the sun on the beach in a hammock! It's the ultimate way to relax!

Didn't really get to the beach all that often either. At least, before coming here.

Really? Too busy or was there just not a beach nearby you could get to?

Kind of a bit of both? And we didn't really get many days off.

Coming from a port town, this is the closest I've felt like I was home since I went on the lam!

Kinda yeah. It was a lot different from where I was used to being.

[He knew about island life. And Port Royal. He'd just never experienced it for himself.

So, it was kinda like home for you?

Yeah, kind of. I've always loved the ocean so being back in a port town was really nostalgic. If my old man were here it'd be perfect.

I'd like to show him the forge and the name I've managed to make for myself.

Not sure if he'd approve of me being a corsair but...well, it's not like I'm stealing from anyone!

So, are you used to boats and stuff like that to?

I kinda wonder if the labels even really apply? With the way everyone kind of mixes.

Yeah! I've spent my whole life around ships! I always wanted to get aboard one and go on some kind of adventure.

And yeah, I've noticed. Honestly, I'm happier to be a corsair. I don't do well taking orders from people. It's one of the reasons I never formally enlisted as a knight.
