i don't know if tadashi had plans with anyone that i wasn't aware of, but. he's gone. just so everyone knows. been looking everywhere. baymax's scanner seems fine and he isn't picking up tadashi's life signs anywhere here. tadashi wouldn't ignore me trying to call or message him like this.

[He knew this would likely happen. One way or another, Tadashi staying here and him going back home to Aunt Cass or something, they'd end up separated. It just feels cruel. Like he had just got his brother back only for this to happen. He can't help feeling upset. Bitter. Not as raging and furious as with Callaghan but still.

It hurts.]

but if he had anything going, i can do my best to help and step in? maybe. depending on what he might have been helping with.

[He can at least offer that much. After he's had a couple of days or so to readjust to being without Tadashi again. If that were even possible. The realization that he's alone here now sinking in. Well, outside of Baymax.]

The basics are very much the same, and from experience knowledge of animals can help care for humans when it comes to.. stranger inflictions, to put it mildly.

[He had definitely found a few tricks that had come in very handy in this world.

I suppose so. At the least, having some basic knowledge would probably help with one or the other. In theory. I guess I just rely on Baymax for now. But -- we should probably also keep in mind for others. Other animals or pets or whatever might be around too.

[Still, Hiro gives a nod. He's figuring if he tries to keep busy he won't fall back into the same funk he did back home. Hopefully.]

Indeed, and I am only one man with that knowledge here. There have been so many animals rescued from those Auction houses that have been dropped off here at Cosmo Conservatory even I am being worn a little thin some days.

[He isn't going to even mention the poaching attempts he had noticed-]

Indeed, and I do believe that you are capable of helping.

I did hear about that. Yeah.

[He is glad that Turo is able to help but even that must have limits to how many he could manage at once. Hiro isn't as sure on what he might manage to help with but he assumes if the other thinks it is something he can help with, he won't argue. Yet, anyway.]

I heard of what occurred from my partner given he took some part in investigating. I only saw the condition of the animals taken to the sanctuary, given I had to look over them.

[Every single one that was brought it, checking they were well and if not? Tending to them. At least most were well on their way to recovery- even if crowing in some areas was causing stress amongst the creatures.

Soon to be solved, at least.]

I heard about it. Wasn't sure if Baymax might be able to help or if sending him to have a look might have only meant more people trying to help out and deal with.

[Still, he was a little distracted with having been checking around for Tadashi. So maybe he has some reasonable excuse for maybe not being the most up-to-date on things. For being distracted recently.]

At least for now things have settled to some degree- most volunteers at the sanctuary are acting more as guards; we have an unfortunate uptick for those looking to poach the rarer animals some brought in.

Still, it tends to simply be me in the medical building unless someone has brought in something injured as he animals are still stressed; a few areas over crowded- which will be fixed soon enough.

Poachers? Of course there are....

[Hiro sighs, running a hand through his mop of messy dark hair. He just hopes that it would calm down, that the animals would recover sooner than later and be able to go back to the wild. He's not sure what to do about the poachers, beyond dissuading them with traps or the like.]

I guess we could figure traps, for the poachers, but that isn't a guarantee. Gotta be some way to dissuade them. Keep the animals safe. Besides something like a zoo to keep them in there.

[Regardless, he's on his way. More musing to himself as he considers the situation while making his way there.]

Unfortunately; some of the creatures freed were actually rare amongst those that were only 'played up' as rare, so it seems.

[Or some part of them was 'useful' in some regard that was mostly for the stroking of egos or... rare because it was actually true. One reason he was a little relived that most of their volunteers were for guards, even if it at times left him a little stretched thin outside of the occasional hand.]

Traps could still be rather helpful, and we have enough people walking the place that checking any traps could be added to their routes; be it to grab someone or whatever else. At best I could offer a few barrier shields to make it harder for people to get in easily; apart from the entrance, of course. They would need some tweaking.

Yeah? Alright. I mean, obviously I wouldn't want to actually hurt anyone, but. Something to at least dissuade them from trying to get at the animals. These aren't pets that people come back for to take home, they're wild animals. They're not for sale.

[He heads out with Baymax, considering possibilities as he does, as Baymax easily redirects him when Hiro gets too distracted to entirely notice where he is going. He wants to help and do his part. Things like this will keep him occupied, distracted.]

So long as it makes someone think twice, a moment or more spent upside down -or anything else along those lines- would be doing far more good. [Bruises, cuts, scrapes... that was fine, harm not the intention but a few minor abrasions couldn't be avoided at times.]

They certainly are not, and while some may make the sanctuary their new home we hope that others would be able to leave on their own once they have the energy and their health returned. Cosmo Conservatory was established to be a safe haven after all, while still providing their freedom.

I think I can manage that. But yeah, maybe some might need or want to stay but the others, these are wild animals, so of course, they might want to go back out there. And they should be able to. Safely.

[Hiro probably just assumes, that there might be rules or laws against poaching here too, but that it isn't enough to stop some people. Evidently. Even if there might be a risk of a fine or something. So long as they are willing to risk paying that. It is rather upsetting.]

I fully agree, and that is the want and dream that Cosmo Conservatory was created to fulfill. Rehabilitation, rest, safety, and whatever healing a wild animal might need is our goal- but also a home for those unable to leave, or having no wish to. It has been an honor helping that dream be a reality.

[Words honestly meant, that bit of passion clear in Turo's tone. Why even now he was spending so much of is own free time an stretching himself thin with this influx due to the cruelties happening in those auction houses.]

I'm no specialist with animals. But I can do my best to try and help.

[However he can. Even if he is more geared towards the tech side of things. Or using Baymax to try and help out with medical situations. Hiro is doing his best. Trying to keep busy.]

Animals, that might not be my specialty, might not be where I know a lot, but. I know tech. And sometimes that can help.

The traps for would be poachers is certainly a good way to help, more so when there has been a target posted.

[Very difficult to miss that once there had been certain upticks in... activity.]

It can help greatly, and is along the lines of what I was speaking about with your brother and hoping to ask for your help as well. Still, once you are here I will explain in better detail.

Right. I can probably come up with something. Back home, one of my friends was really big on chemistry, so I made her this handbag, and she could make all kinds of stuff with it. If I think of the combinations, I could probably come up with something. Something to restrain the poachers without hurting them, just keeping them in place? At least until someone comes for them.

[Honey Lemon knew more about that sort of thing. But if Hiro can remember the different chemicals he had in her bag and the potential combinations of them.]

That would most certainly work, more so given the number of volunteers walking the grounds; they would be found sooner or later, and despite why they came could simply be gotten out no worse for wear.

[It would be something to think about, to help occupy the mind; Turo still understood that was at least part of what could be needed in the moment.]

Right! Yeah, I'll see if I can come up with something! Just past reception is fine, I can meet you there in a minute.

[Cue him pulling Baymax along to get the robot to speed up a bit. He really does need to work on addressing that at some point.]

I believe you will do well, Hiro- and I look forward to hearing what you come up with.

[It would be easy to spot Turo in front of the medical station once past the reception building, a feathered raptor being let go as it wandered a bit past before taking off.

A wave from Turo the moment he spotted Hiro and Baymax.]

[It's easy enough to spot the Professor, even amid the reception and everything else going on. Hiro gives a wave, approaching him when he spots the other with the raptor, Baymax following behind at his usual slow sort of waddle.]

Professor! You wanted to see me? Something you wanted to show me?

Hello, it is good to see you, and I did indeed. Hello you Baymax as well.

[Mariposa's tail wagged, a soft sort of woof in her own greeting; even while she remained there at Turo's side, eyes bright and watchful.

Turo tipped his head- Just a small gesture to walk with him. The medical center building wasn't far from Cosmo's reception building after all.]

It is a matter that only a few people know of, but I do believe you would be able to help. You are good with robotics, correct?

[Hiro waves and greets Mariposa as well, Baymax giving his usual wave of greeting and introducing himself to Mariposa before they follow Turo.]

Robotics is kind of my thing. Yeah. I think I can help with something like that.

[Be an easy walk at least, Mariposa's tail wagging as she followed along as well. Turo simply working out how to word... well-]

How are you with working on repairs caused by simply wear over time? Or if there was perhaps some damage caused by an outside force?

[Opening the medical building's door once there, holding it open; a quiet space, and what looked like a well maintained break area in the front. A basket of fresh baked goods and what looked to be a magitech fridge likely filled with other things along with drinks.

A few couches and chairs around a coffee table.]

The reason I ask is a little personal, and I would ask that it be knowledge kept with you and the small group that do know as well.

As long as the parts are still there or enough of it is still intact for me to have an idea of what I'm working with, it should be easy enough. But if you don't want me to tell anyone, I won't.

[Hiro figures that the Professor likely has his reasons. Maybe this was more something sentimental from home or something he wants repaired. Hiro doesn't really think much more on it, just hopes that he might be able to help, as he follows the other, taking a drink and one of the baked goods as a snack.]

Sounds as if you can certainly help, if you are willing. There is a small number of other people that know, that I have trusted with this information.

[For one reason or another it had become needed, and some for his own safety. There was only so much that he could do for himself, and that others with their own knowledge could help with as well.

There was a small gesture for Hiro to take a seat if he so wished, knowing no one else was there; with the door closed no one would enter without knocking either.]

I wish I could have asked, and told you this sooner, but with everything happening lately, well.. [It fell onto this moment. Letting Hiro settle himself however he wished- and Baymax as well.

Turo did rest a hand to his chest, just over where a heart should be.]

I am not the original Professor Turo, but rather an AI based off of his own brain scan and put into a robotic body that was made in his near exact image. I was meant to Assist him when he felt he could trust no one else, and did so for some time. I was left to continue his work, after his unfortunate passing.

[To put it simply.]

The first person to learn this made it clear I should be cautious with who I tell for my own safety, but I feel I can trust you as well as any of the others that know.
