have you ever had a random thought come to your head when you least expect it and you just don’t know what the answer to it would be? but you just can’t stop thinking about it? and you’ve gotta say it to somebody?

but what about all the ground up seashells?

The most common type of sand is silica sand which is very definitely rock.

I guess there could be some seashells in it but it's not like walking on a shellfish graveyard or something, I think?

but i always thought sand had a ton of seashells ground up in it. i can't count how many times i've gotten a scratch on my foot before, you know? and what about lobsters?

and think about it!! minty flavours are tangy and zippy inside the mouth, right? spicy is tangy and zippy too! cold spicy

Sand is mostly made of quartz crystals--there's probably some seashells in it, but most of the time those decompose naturally.

You should probably wear shoes at a beach though, shells that haven't decomposed yet aren't sand but they're still sharp. What do lobsters have to do with any of that, though?

i guess since i lived on an island for so long, i always just went barefoot everywhere...

i'm pretty sure lobster and crab shells can be all over the place too

Crab and lobster shells aren't hard enough to wash up on a beach, let alone be eroded into sand. They just decompose or get eaten, I'm pretty sure.

i wear shoes more now! most of the time! not all the time haha

but i guess if you're right that makes me feel better about walking on the sand at all

sometimes when you put a mint in your mouth the spicy taste is too much to handle, that's all!
