have you ever had a random thought come to your head when you least expect it and you just don’t know what the answer to it would be? but you just can’t stop thinking about it? and you’ve gotta say it to somebody?

But the act of sharing the wish wishes it, and so you've wasted regardless of when you say it.

if you tell someone what your wish is you're not actually saying "i wish" out loud, you know?

especially if you say something like "you should have the best life ever." or "i want to see you"

There are situations in which you might say "I wish".

"I wish you would stop talking" for instance.
