TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

Selene is one of my besties and a total sweetheart, but we've never dated. Mortal and god romance rarely goes well, y'know?

...I wasn't aware there were goddesses back in your world too. Your world sounds like it's a lot of expansive than I thought.

[sos_pilot]

Oh sure, we've got plenty of gods and goddesses. Not everyone knows about them, though. It's only because my family goes on such huge adventures that we see them so much! They've even felt comfy enough to come visit us at home.

It must be nice to have all these highly respected people that come see you.

I wouldn't know what I would do if they wanted to see me.

Aw, I'm sure they'd love you! Truth is, they like it when we treat them like ordinary guys. Helps them relax.

Except for Zeus, but he's a jerk so he doesn't count.

...What did he do?

[We don't talk about Zeus, oh no no no. We don't talk about Zeus...!]

Oh man, what didn't that guy do? He throws temper tantrums whenever he loses a game - and when that happens, he throws lighting bolts at everyone! He doesn't like it whenever anyone is more popular than him, so he drove all of his people off his island. He manipulates his own children to get what he wants, and has let loose monsters just to look like a hero.

He's so bad, he was booted from his throne and the other gods wanted a new leader.

Uh...

I suppose we just don't really talk about him. I know there was once a God in my world that a lot of people didn't like either. It wasn't until recently that she started to open up and got people to like her.

...Maybe he could do the same?

It'd be nice if he could, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. He'd need to eat a slice of humble pie first, but I'm pretty sure he's allergic to humility.

I see.

...Then I hope someone teaches him a lesson one day. Strong or not, that kind of attitude won't go anywhere.

I'm sure it'll happen eventually, but why bog ourselves down with the bad stuff? Selene is the best! She even tried to make me a goddess once!

Really?

What else did she do?

[sos_pilot]

She gave my son a special sphere of hers that played memories of our times together - this was before I came home, so he could learn about me while I was gone.

[scooba]

That was really sweet of her.

She didn't have to do that for you.

[sos_pilot]

Yeah. I'm really grateful to her, and to everyone who stepped up and helped out my kids. That means more to me than any treasure and aventure.

It's funny. You sound a lot like Father right now. She would have said the same thing too.

[sos_pilot]

That right? I'd love to meet them sometime. We can gush about our kids for hours, I bet.

You can if you want.

Father is really nice. You just have to be ready as she can be little intimidating.

[sos_pilot]

You have to work pretty hard to intimidate Della Duck!

If you say so? Although, I think she might like you. I'm sure Father would like to hear your adventures from your world...

Then I'll keep an eye out for her, and make sure she doesn't leave my space until she's heard at least five stories!

I'll let her know. She's a person with white and black hair. She also has red eyes so...I'm not sure if that might scare you.

[sos_pilot]

Dude, different eye color wouldn't even make me blink.

Now maybe if she had tentacles and fish scales, that might give me the some spooks.

...No, she doesn't.

She just might scare some people.

Now I wanna meet her even more!
