TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

1. I was resurrected once by my older brother who can warp reality. He's also very fond of rubber duckies and walking around in nothing but his underwear.
2. I met an Ogre in the Forest of Sorrows who would buy sorrow from you to feed to the forest itself.
3. The only job I've ever had has been working for various superhero teams.

Knowing what I know of Jamie, the first one is completely plausible, so what other jobs have you had?

That really shouldn't surprise me.

...you worked for STRIKE?

The PSI division specifically. It was my first real job involving my abilities. I also almost married a partner in it.

What made you interested in joining STRIKE?

[serendipitously]

I wanted to actually do something useful with my powers, something worthwhile.

Noble, if a little naive. I don't mean that as a criticism, by the way. I certainly understand the sentiment.

And did you? Do anything worthwhile with your powers?

[serendipitously]

No. I had my eyes ripped out and got someone I cared a great deal for killed.

Theme of my life isn't it?

Oh. Well, you got better, I assume?

And frankly, I think that has less to do with you and more to do with the majority of the world wanting you and yours dead, darling.

Except that incident had nothing to do with being a mutant or member of the X-Men. It was when I was taking over for Brian as Captain Britain.

"You and Yours" doesn't necessarily mean mutants, you know.
