TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

No.

I have learned that, sometimes, one can hide their cruelty with false kindness. And another may hide kind intents with forced cruelty.

Both hurt, and terribly so. And those wounds aren't easily healed.

Cruel people would have a hard time finding people to be cruel to if they always showed their true colors.

I know how much it hurts to think someone's one way and realize they never were. I'm sorry you do too. But there's still good kind people.

I know. I've been fortunate enough to meet a few.

How are you liking this place so far?

I'm glad to hear that! It's nice how many generous people there are here.

It's not so bad. But I think I might be lonely. What about you?

Much the same.

Although there are wonderful people here, I miss my friends, and find myself wondering what they might be doing. Or what it would be like if they were here.

Sometimes I think about my charges, too. The creations.

I think about what they'd be doing here all the time. There's so much here compared to what we had left back home. I almost feel guilty.

Maybe some of your friends or your charges will appear!

My friends could adapt well enough, I think, though 'tis an uncomfortable adjustment.

My charges, especially if they somehow arrived as they truly are rather than being diminished in size and ability as I and my people were, would cause more than a small amount of chaos. I would worry for both those who dwell here, and for my charges.

Even if they ended up altered as I have been, and thus more able to interact with this world in a somewhat safe manner, I expect it would be very stressful for them.

It's been kind of uncomfortable for me too. I don't like not having some things.

I wouldn't want them to be stressed out. Or to cause more chaos here. There's already a lot.

There is.

Mayhap 'twould be possible to return here willingly in the future, if you wish your friends to experience it. Though, do give them forewarning of the drawbacks.

I'm not sure all my friends would be good for this place.
