TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

He would definitely agree on both counts. Or he might befriend one of the leviathans and carve out a home for himself on them. Could swing either way, really.

Unfortunately, there's no one else from my world here besides me.

I'd honestly like to see that and how they'd react. I've been extremely curious about them myself. [ for personal reasons that are mostly centered around how frustrating she finds not being able to actually use her powers to learn anything about them. ]

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. That must be rather lonely for you.

You can add another one to the count. Seems like many are plenty curious, but haven't gotten answers about them.

[A beat before he follows up with a second message.]

There was someone else for a short while. But she's since found her way back... You could say I'm used to loneliness.

It's frustrating. Particularly given all they seem to control here.

Ah. I'm sorry to hear that. One shouldn't really be used to loneliness. Though I guess I could say something similar.

If you ever decide to pursue those questions, I'd be happy to accompany you. We can cover each other's blind spots.

And maybe fend off said loneliness at the same time.

That's a generous offer. And I've often found that there's no better way to fend off loneliness than to throw oneself into something potentially dangerous.

From what I've heard there's some cults out there that might have something to say about the leviathans or other aspects of this world. I've been meaning to look more into that.

Cults, you say? Sounds like just the right amount of danger to keep us distracted and, strangely enough, possibly informed if things work out.
