TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

I am going to venture that one is the lie. You either cannot cook or some other dish is your specialty.

[The problem was... Beat couldn't think of a good enough lie for something like this. Because of that, what he decides to type out comes out more vulnerable than he'd originally anticipated.]

1. i hadta play in a game so i can come back to life

[It takes a moment for Beat to form a reply, typing something out and deleting it more than a couple of times. Oddly enough, it's hard to explain himself, especially when it comes to something like this. Finally he figures it out and sends Sherlock a series of messages in quick succession.]

ive lost a lotta friends even before i got here

youd think that a guys gonna get used to that kinda thing if it keeps happening

I see. In some way, I am glad for that being the case in that fashion. However in other ways, that is most disappointing.

You misunderstand me. While I am glad you have not gone numb, I am disappointed that the loss or disappearance of people is so great, even beyond this world's boundaries.

Or perhaps I am disappointed that the loss does not get easier with time. It is hard to say.
