TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

Pleasant...that's a little difficult to say. I wouldn't say they were nightmares, or bad, but no one in Sumeru had dreams after coming to adulthood, so it was rather strange to have them again after so long.

I don't remember all the early ones, but that first night...I dreamed of my father. Whatever else I could say, it was good to see him again.

I'm glad you got to dream of him.

What was he like? Was he creative, like you?

In the sense of being artistic? Not at all. Mother said he couldn't have drawn a portrait if she'd held his hand on the pencil for him, and his handwriting wasn't much better than chicken scratch. But his star charts were always impeccable, and he knew all the best stories to tell at bedtime...he even sang a few.

He was an idealist, down to his very core. He loved the stars so much because he said their stories could shine a light on a happy fate for everyone, if we only had the heart to search for it.

Stars are important to my people, too.

Each office of the Convocation is associated with a constellation, or in one case, a particular star. They are the guides of our people.

Every person in Teyvat is born under the guidance of a constellation. The Rhtawahist Darshan concerns themselves with the matter of reading that guidance from the movement of the heavens, and predicting those outcomes. My father graduated from Rhtawahist, and was a researcher of the stars his entire life.

I've never had much of a head for it, myself. I always wanted to be an architect, like my mother, as far back as I can remember.

Have you ever incorporated the stars into your designs? Mayhap a little nod to those you love could be a charming touch.
