TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

I get the feeling that before arriving here, you've rarely ever been out on an ocean.

Plenty of worlds have oceans. I could have visited any of them.

But have you? Wouldn't you run a terrible risk of damaging your suit and getting killed by salt?

My suit is able to adjust to several variable levels of salinity. I can even consume it. Salted popped corn isn't going to bring me down.

"Several" levels but not "any", no? And I have no reason to think that all these many worlds you've visited oceans at may cover an impressive range. :3

At any rate, I still believe that statement to be the lie. Besides, it could be that this "drowned bird" of yours is no ordinary bird. Or at the very least not the kind that many of us are familiar with.

And that impressive range along with "several" levels of versatility my suit is capable of should provide you with some doubt, yes?

I am very curious as to what sort of bird you imagine I would keep as a companion, then.

Reasonable doubt, yes. After all, didn't you tell me that someone from your world died from exposure caused by a very small tear of some sort? I'd want to be extremely careful of my suit's condition at all times, if it were me!

That said... I feel like you would probably only take on a bird companion that was large enough to watch your back. And maybe even hold half-decent conversation with you.
