TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

And how precisely should I know what's normal for others?

It varies by week. Expectations would be something you discuss with your lover, and what other people are doing hasn't anything to do with it.

Kaveh, you know more about relationships and what happens in them than I. In fact, everyone seems to have some innate understanding that I lack. What understanding I do have is either in the abstract in relation to crime or from here as you've made it perfectly clear that I should not trust anything my world has to say on the matter.

I can promise you none of it's innate.

The trouble is, it's often very different for each individual, and thus even more unique for each pair. I can't tell you what's "normal" because I'm not sure that a "normal" really exists.

If normal or average exists, I am the furthest from it. I always have been.

Yet, I cannot deny that having a number does put things into a new perspective because my assumption of what might be considered normal was an order of magnitude off.

there will be an essay.

I don't think either Alhaitham or I is going to be of any use to you on what's considered 'normal', if I'm being perfectly honest.

Is there a test afterwards?

Then perhaps I am no closer to understanding beyond that over ten in a week's time is a possibility.
