TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

They are good people to be around and will give you plenty of chances to sail.

I have no plans of ever joining a crew. I get seasick, thus greatly limiting any worth I might have for a regular crew.

They already have. I'm quite familiar with most of them. We fought together upon on our star.

There are cures for seasickness, I understand.

So far none have worked for me.

[ It's almost as if part of the problem is mental trauma and not just physical.... ]

I recall you joining us for a treasure hunt. Why, if sea travel is so troublesome?

I found and decoded one of the map pieces. I wanted to see the mystery through and be available if more riddles were found.

Additionally, I have a ring that will bring me home, so I only had to suffer the trip one way.

[ The reason Sherlock wasn't found on the voyage back wasn't because he was holed up somewhere. He wasn't there at all. ]

I see. And could not this ring solve this problem on more than the one occasion? I mean only to offer solutions.

I can only teleport to certain locations I've been to and have set as a viable return point. I also have a limited number of locations I can register as such.

While not ideal, I am still halving my time spent seasick.

And nothing works, you say?

You seemed far more than seasick when we met.

That usually does not happen.

[ Unless there are giant leviathans and sea creatures fighting reminding him eldritch beings and how small and inconsequential he is to the vastness of eternity and that the Abyss calls for him. ]

To be perfectly honest, I could not really say.
