TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

You're telling me.

I looked at your answers, and they're so ridiculously unbelievable that it's hard to consider any of them as true, let alone which one's the lie.
emet_sulk: (87 You could be so much more)

Then I've played the game well. And I still have many more anecdotes left for the next time.

A pity I cannot reuse my age as a shock factor again. Such a simple fact is unbelievable to so many.
feralhumanity: (Hmm?)

Really? How old are you then?

Oh, and for the game... hmm. I guess... is three the lie?

Well over ten thousand years old. I do not keep strict track, you understand. I'm certain it has been more than that from what I remember of the history books I last glanced at.

And unfortunately for you, the third is not a lie.
feralhumanity: (!!!)

Over ten thousand?? You're older than even my grandfather was! Or any of my species, for sure.

Wait, how do you fight a volcano?
emet_sulk: (69 ...you have delayed the Rejoining)

[ The reaction is not unusual, but the way it's phrased suggests Nanaki's people live, well, maybe longer than the ten or so years that dogs usually do. How curious. ]

One 'fights' a volcano by taking the volatile fire aether and turning it into a tangible concept. In this case, my friend used one called 'Ifrita'.
feralhumanity: (I'll tell you all that I know)

Ifrita? That makes me think of certain materia that can summon forth creatures of different elements. I know of one that can summon a creature called 'Ifrit'.
emet_sulk: (84 A wonderful way to pass time)

Yes, that is the name presently given to the concept by my star's current people. Ifrita was the original concept, designed by one of my peers who had a strong affinity for working with fire.
