TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

I must admit that some have the drive to do better and help people, but circumstances being what they are cause them to become disillusioned with the force and leave. I met one man who had to fake his death so that he could retire and live in peace. They wouldn't let him leave because he was the only investigator who actually did his job.

Don't have that. The job is what I make of it. I'm the only one who will. The templars, the guard, the magisters. The vast majority don't care; they can be bought. Only a handful actually work to help and they have to do it in very subtle ways.

Hate that so many things are so similar and that one of yours had to do something so drastic.

Yes, I could have revealed that he lived, but I felt he had done his time. Going back might help a few people, but trapped once more, he could become that which he hated.

The officers believed me without question. They had all the same evidence at their disposal, but they didn't follow any of it to the logical conclusion. It did not stop them from claiming responsibility for solving the case either. The officer had even gotten a promotion off my investigations.
