SHIVER ME TINDERS

Something’s been glitching with everyone’s shellphones this month…! They suddenly fizzle and go black and when they reboot it appears there’s been some unwanted activity happening on them on your behalf.

A network post has appeared and with it, fake social media profiles have popped up too. You didn’t post to it, the shellphones have automatically done that for you. They’ve posted one picture, your age and three random facts about you. Whether or not those facts are true or not is … sketchy at best.

If you’re curious, go scrolling through the network post and see what it says about others! Comment around and ask them about their facts! And maybe make a new friend?

- Oocly, you will post your character to the network post with a picture, name and age and three random facts.
- The facts don't have to be true and can be entirely made up and be random or wild. Or they can be the realist facts about your character. It's up to you.
- Have your character react icly any way you want!
- Post and tag around!
- This is not necessarily a romance/date finding post, we just thought it was funny. Make friends and cr!

Alright, so it's a prank, but he didn't do it.

Heizou wouldn't do something like this. He'd tease me spme other way. Not like those idiot inspectors who treat us as one person.

Yeesh. Alright, making a note to self: avoid working with the local inspectors if possible.

[ But from Heizou, it never feels mean spirited. Rather, it feels like an honest extension of his friendship. ]

Heizou and I are very vocal about the deficiencies of those inspectors.

[ He knows his Heizou. It's strange and strangely comforting to have someone to be so close a mirror. He didn't think he'd have someone like that after Jon left him. ]

Rupert Louis is the inspector they sent to deal with us and spare the rest from our presence. He's not as bad as some of the rest. He's committed to justice even if he needs work on his observations.

However, he and the others still call us "Shikalock Holmzou" since we investigate together often. They don't bother to differentiate between us.

Well, one almost decent name. Still, that's a lazy and rude way to insist on referring to you both. It's one thing for it to be one investigator in their team, but everyone is just unprofessional.

I wonder if we ever got a third S.H. detective if they would add their name to the mix.

Bad enough with your two names. I don't know how they'd pronounce a name with a third blended in.

If no clever mix could be found, they might continue to use Shikalock Holmzou but for the three of us, diminishing the third even more.

[There's a moment's pause while Heizou checks to see why he's even getting messages.]

The fact I could message you both, yeah, this is pretty new. Maybe one of those 'investigators' did do this, heh.

You mean our dear local inspectors? It certainly seems likely! They're not our biggest fans around here. :3

There's not much more to say, really. I suppose anyone might be upset to have someone else correcting them on their work, but they're the ones who who need to do better. It's not our fault that they're as incompetent as they are.

[HMPH! And he says again: HMPH!! But with a smirk.]

But Sherlock and I are used to it. When you're in our line of work, you get used to having people choose to keep their distance at best.

They do need to do better. It's a surprise half the island isn't in holding. Or, maybe everyone has been to holding before.

[But if everyone has a record... oi. He shakes his head.]

I get it. Though, Sherlock certainly likes putting more distance than necessary.

It's easier to preemptively maintain distance. And it's... harder for Sherlock in particular to close it.
