SHIVER ME TINDERS

Something’s been glitching with everyone’s shellphones this month…! They suddenly fizzle and go black and when they reboot it appears there’s been some unwanted activity happening on them on your behalf.

A network post has appeared and with it, fake social media profiles have popped up too. You didn’t post to it, the shellphones have automatically done that for you. They’ve posted one picture, your age and three random facts about you. Whether or not those facts are true or not is … sketchy at best.

If you’re curious, go scrolling through the network post and see what it says about others! Comment around and ask them about their facts! And maybe make a new friend?

- Oocly, you will post your character to the network post with a picture, name and age and three random facts.
- The facts don't have to be true and can be entirely made up and be random or wild. Or they can be the realist facts about your character. It's up to you.
- Have your character react icly any way you want!
- Post and tag around!
- This is not necessarily a romance/date finding post, we just thought it was funny. Make friends and cr!

You've only just arrived and already you're divulging secrets. I remember it took me at least a couple of nights before you opened up.

This was not me. I've been trying to figure out how to delete it. Or destroy it.

[Oh, he's well aware considering he hadn't posted his own either. But he couldn't help himself.]

Destroy it? Don't think that's a bit much.

Not if it intends to post personal information frequently. That's dangerous. [ people are asking about her feet!!! and the quotes around composing imply things!! it's rude... ]

[He's certainly curious about that one. But he'll bide his time for now.]

This is the first I've seen it happen. Though I'm surprised that yours are all quite personal.

[Thus his earlier comment.]

You're making me feel rather targeted now.

[ can a shell phone be out to get someone? Will this be her arch nemesis? ]

Désolé. [Sorry.] That was not my intention.

Perhaps it's the same for some others. [Not that he could verify with the ones he's seen so far.]

Perhaps. Or perhaps it's a product of being new. Not a pleasant welcome if so.

That's one way to look at it. Some sort of initiation for what's to come.

Or a subtle and manipulative nudge to try to get allies.

Could also be a way to break the ice, I suppose.

I can't say I'm too interested in that.
But it has taught me a few things about how the shellphones work.

Was it enough of a challenge?

No, not at all. I would be disappointed if I didn't have another challenge waiting.

This is the first I've heard of your song writing. With a partner, no less.

[ the option to just never respond is there. she might also have taken the option of trying to electrocute her shellphone. Maybe. Either way a response comes sometime later. Several minutes. ]

No? I guess you wouldn't have.

[ Wait. Why can't you unsend something? ]

It's not something I had much time to indulge in with the Expedition.

[musicien]

[Hmm, what's that supposed to mean?]

You'll have plenty of time here. For musical pursuits or otherwise.

[esquim]

So it would seem.

[ She thinks briefly about leaving it at that but something spurs her to send another message a few moments later. ]

Is that something you've done here? Pursued time for your own musical pursuits?

[musicien]

[His own response doesn't come quickly.]

I have. Even tried my hand in song writing as well.

[esquim]

Now comes the absolute longest amount of time between messages. Long enough that it might seem she's dropped the idle conversation. But then something comes. ]

I have to admit I'm curious now. Have you shared it?

[musicien]

[He had definitely thought that, not that he would've minded if it ended there.]

Only to those involved. It had been for a quest. And I'm not particularly fond of the outcome.

[esquim]

What a strange sounding quest.
I'm sure it couldn't have been too bad. The outcome I mean.

It had been for a bard who needed help for their opening act.
Oh, but it was. Clive and I had a few drinks before we could pen anything. Might not have been the greatest idea in hindsight.

[But they needed it at the time.]

I'm regretting not getting to experience this.
Did the Bard invite either of you back for further help?

[musicien]

Unfortunately not. Though heard her concert had gone well. Probably because she didn't use our song in the end.
