SHIVER ME TINDERS

Something’s been glitching with everyone’s shellphones this month…! They suddenly fizzle and go black and when they reboot it appears there’s been some unwanted activity happening on them on your behalf.

A network post has appeared and with it, fake social media profiles have popped up too. You didn’t post to it, the shellphones have automatically done that for you. They’ve posted one picture, your age and three random facts about you. Whether or not those facts are true or not is … sketchy at best.

If you’re curious, go scrolling through the network post and see what it says about others! Comment around and ask them about their facts! And maybe make a new friend?

- Oocly, you will post your character to the network post with a picture, name and age and three random facts.
- The facts don't have to be true and can be entirely made up and be random or wild. Or they can be the realist facts about your character. It's up to you.
- Have your character react icly any way you want!
- Post and tag around!
- This is not necessarily a romance/date finding post, we just thought it was funny. Make friends and cr!

Whoever or whatever made this came up with a strange list for you.

But, as I have been told, some things are innacurate for several people.

What do you actually do?

True.

Until recently, I was a member of an organization which tasked itself with the safekeeping of our star. Since ending the threat of the Final Days, we've been mostly retired.

[A pause.]

You mentioned when we met at the springs you knew of the Sundering. Do you know what led to it?

[Ah. That is a sober subject to turn to. But, nevertheless, he ventures to answer, earnest as he ever is:]

Our new Fandaniel's creations, from when he was yet Chief Overseer. The entelechies. Emet-Selch told me he sent them beyond the star in search of other life, but they found death instead, and what little life they encountered ended their own lives upon being asked their reason for living.

They went mad. Hermes went mad. The accident at Ktisis Hyperboreia wasn't an accident. The Meteia never dissipated. Hermes wiped both his memory and the memories of those present there so that... mankind would be judged.

What followed nearly destroyed the star, and, bereft of the knowledge of the cause of it all, our people could but struggle to treat the symptoms.

Emet-Selch told me they ended up creating a god, and that to do so, many sacrificed their lives, and that yet more were sacrificed to restore other life to the surface of the star. He said that Venat and some others rejected the idea of sacrificing any more lives, and ended up creating a god of their own to opppse the first, and the entity they created was the one to sunder the star.

[He pauses, considering. He has but once perspective on the situation thus far. More... could be helpful.]

Is my understanding of the situation consistent with your own? Or am I missing something...?

[So, Emet-Selch had given him a barebones version of events. Even Thancred wasn't completely clear, but then again, as a mere mortal, he still struggled to concieve of the sheer number of lives sacrificed in the creation of Zodiark, or those needed to creat Hydaelyn. He's certain he's capable of it. Perhaps his mind simply rages at the idea rather than finding any other means.]

Rough, but enough to follow. [He nods.]

She returned, the first of the entelechies, and brought with her the same Final Days she'd once unleashed upon the star. As we now know the folly of creating a god, we found another way to seal her fate. Since, we've retired, and well-earned, if you ask me.
