SHIVER ME TINDERS

Something’s been glitching with everyone’s shellphones this month…! They suddenly fizzle and go black and when they reboot it appears there’s been some unwanted activity happening on them on your behalf.

A network post has appeared and with it, fake social media profiles have popped up too. You didn’t post to it, the shellphones have automatically done that for you. They’ve posted one picture, your age and three random facts about you. Whether or not those facts are true or not is … sketchy at best.

If you’re curious, go scrolling through the network post and see what it says about others! Comment around and ask them about their facts! And maybe make a new friend?

- Oocly, you will post your character to the network post with a picture, name and age and three random facts.
- The facts don't have to be true and can be entirely made up and be random or wild. Or they can be the realist facts about your character. It's up to you.
- Have your character react icly any way you want!
- Post and tag around!
- This is not necessarily a romance/date finding post, we just thought it was funny. Make friends and cr!

I can obviously only speak to it's success with chroma, but I suspect there are similarities here.

Thank you. Expeditions in the name of exploring and discovery have been a part of my life forever and this place does seem to have an abundance of unknowns.

The magic of this world is... erratic. Unstable, even. Yet there is a peculiar order to it that I cannot quite explain. When you feel this chroma flowing through your limbs... what does it feel like?

It's difficult to explain. It feels like opening a channel and letting power wash over you. There's also variation, some locations feel heavy with chroma, you might compare it to going through a humid location. The feelings can also vary between pleasant and exciting to oppressive and dark.

Very curious. I cannot say I have ever felt my own aether shift so markedly with place, nor with whatever unseen bond may lie between myself and the world around me. Though, the difference you speak of, between pleasant and oppressive... that feeling, I think I understand.

[He really is interested in what it might feel like if he does find a deeper connection to something else. The world, the spirit of the star? ... Would it help with aether control? The curse?]

My tattoos are the real source of my ability to feel changes to acutely. They're chroma carved into my body, used to channel the magic of my world without tools. Few people get them engraved and even fewer get as many as I have.

[ becasue feeling that much chroma all the time so acutely is exhausting and dangerous. ]

I've heard aether mentioned by another, deductive reasoning suggests it's similar enough to chroma to be comparable. I have a theory that my tattoos may work the same here if I were to get them traced over by the octo.

It must take a toll?

And yes, I have already begun to suspect that your chroma and what we call aether are much the same. Perhaps only different in name. I have found many such parallels here. Worlds separated by stars, yet filled with the same things, merely given different names.

Do not let the Octopus managing your tattoos overcharge you, though. That is all I can offer about that.

Any toll is well worth it.

That's not entirely unsurprising, though certainly interesting.

Does he overcharge often...?

Yes, any magic is worth the toll it demands.

Even if it might cost a fair bit. He doesn't often overcharge, but he will grab at the opportunity if he finds anyone who might buy into it.

I appreciate the warning. But no need to worry, I've learned to be cautious.
