SHIVER ME TINDERS

Something’s been glitching with everyone’s shellphones this month…! They suddenly fizzle and go black and when they reboot it appears there’s been some unwanted activity happening on them on your behalf.

A network post has appeared and with it, fake social media profiles have popped up too. You didn’t post to it, the shellphones have automatically done that for you. They’ve posted one picture, your age and three random facts about you. Whether or not those facts are true or not is … sketchy at best.

If you’re curious, go scrolling through the network post and see what it says about others! Comment around and ask them about their facts! And maybe make a new friend?

- Oocly, you will post your character to the network post with a picture, name and age and three random facts.
- The facts don't have to be true and can be entirely made up and be random or wild. Or they can be the realist facts about your character. It's up to you.
- Have your character react icly any way you want!
- Post and tag around!
- This is not necessarily a romance/date finding post, we just thought it was funny. Make friends and cr!

You just need to know where to look.

I've some books if you should like to borrow them. I have been looking into the dragons and the lizardfolk as of late, given that our last excursion had been to the deserts where they live. Granted, some of them are more fiction and embellished stories than they are history, but I am of the belief that there is some truth that lies within them.

Given all that I have seen in my time spent here, it becomes easier to believe in the fantastical legends of old. They all must stem from somewhere, yes?

I would be grateful to borrow anything you have. Everything really. What have you found out about the desert? During a sandstorm I ran into someone who attempted to be rather ominous.

You're right, Legends always have a basis in something.

[Is Lune ready for some storytime? She needs to find a good starting point...]

Besides the fact that I'd fallen into some underground city that looked to be frozen in time, I do believe that this is the domain of one of the Ancients. There are many stories about a dragon named Sarht that has flown off to hide. Many of the books say that he is hibernating, others say that he is the one who has created this sandstorm. It depends on the story that you read, but they all connect back to him in some way.

There is even one tale, though fiction, that tells of a tragic love between him and another Ancient.

Are you certain that last one is truly fiction?

No, I admit I am not completely convinced that it is. It spoke of another Ancient that lived in an icy land, and the two could only meet on certain nights of the year. A lover's tryst in the moonlight, if you will... But over time, as the world changed, they became overcome with grief as it became harder and harder to meet one another.

And so they turned to the magic of a third Ancient instead. One that could allow them to meet in their dreams.

It is marked as fiction. It was a book that I had found in one of the shops in Ya Raleah.

[ there's certainly some elements to that story that intrigue her on a personal level, but she's not too keen on admitting it all here. ] Grief can be a surprisingly powerful motivator, particular for those with such vast power.

Is there any proof that this Ancient with dream abilities exists? Or at least other writing of them?

[Well, Benedikta knows that feeling quite well.]

It is, yes. And it had been.

This is the first I had heard of her. There could be more elsewhere, but I am only at the beginning of what I fear is going to be a very long journey through this world's history. There was not even a name.

If you need any assistance I've a considerable amount of experience in research. It was what I spent my life doing where I was from.

Do you think the world's history was simply forgotten after whatever tragedies came to this place? Or was the history hidden by people that don't want too much uncovered?
