[The video feed opens up to a calm, relaxing beach viewing with waves gently crashing on the shore and crabs scuttering along in their own little world. The screen would change to front-facing mode to show Ranma sitting on the beach, left arm bandaged and in a cast and a few crabs climbing on and off of him. He seemed almost wistful, as if he's about to poise a sagely question...]

Think anyone here tried cooking any of the crabs here yet? [... or not.] Or at the least tried to get a leg off the big one. Imagine how much you could make with just a leg!

[Ranma no.]

Just uh... Just a hypothetical. [He's totally not salivating right now.]

I've been blown up more times than I can count, so if all goes wrong--

[And there's the boom. The not-cell shattering ka-boom. What he felt was a really pleasant tingling sensation that almost felt like around the first time he learnt how to get his ki to instinctively speed up his healing. Only twice and less warm. The normal skin coloration returned back to its usual complexion, bones reconnected back together like velcro, and all open wounds sealed back up.

With his hand seemingly healed, Ranma undoes the sling and unwraps the bandages, showing his arm good as new.]

It's something I modified here, but they worked on Alhaitham before, so I was sure they'd work on you.

The bombs don't usually heal other people?

It was one of the doors that asks you for truth, wasn't it?

How does it even work? Where I'm from, explosions tend to destroy, not rebuild stuff or people.

[Given that Ranma went stark white at the assumption and froze like a statue, Kaveh hit the nail on the head.]

T-That's a thing? I didn't know, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...

[Kaveh snorts.]

Tell me what actually happened and I'll show you how the bloom cores work.

[He is applying everything he has ever learned from Dori and he's only a little sorry.]

... So me and another guy, Heizou, you probably know him since he talked about you, were exploring a maze. We reached one of the doors and I, for his sake, bravely went first. And I might've flubbed the truth on the question it asked me a little. But in my defense, it was a stupid question no man in their right mind would answer!

[That's only about like half the truth.]

[Kaveh crosses his arms and stares at Ranma for a long moment.]

Bloom cores are made of dendro elemental energy reacting with hydro element, and explode a short time after they are formed.

[Give him half a truth, get half an explanation.]

I know hydro's water, but what's dendro supposed to be?

[Come on Kaveh, that's not fair!]

[Kaveh tips his head a little.]

[Give him a second to think for a moment. Let's see... Those 'bloom core' thingamajigs... If he recalled, it looked almost like a fruit vaguely, to him at least. What a second, Kaveh brought up magic when he commented on his garden... And he added water to it both times...]

Does it have something to do with plants?

[Figuring out how people's techniques, weapons and the likes is his specialty. See dad, he's not as dumb as you think!]

Good. That's part of it.

[Kaveh taps the Vision on his hip, and smiles.] Dendro is the element of wisdom and growth. Naturally, it's most commonly found in plants, but it's also the element that rules over dreams and consciousness. My dendro Vision is what powers Mehrak.

[...given how he's brightened up...maybe kaveh just likes teaching people...]

[Ranma'd eye the Vision with curiosity.]

Ah. So that's how you got the briefcase to be almost sentient. I thought it was just a bunch of computer stuff. So it lets you control plants, dreams and people's consciousness?

[Maybe overstepping his guess there, but hey, some people here have the power of mind control and he's both been in and have something invade his dreams before!]

Ah, no, I can't control people's minds. Or dreams. That'd be the realm of our god, Lord Kusanali.

But she would never take control of people, either. Not because she can't, but because she is a gentle god.

[Kaveh grimaces a little at the thought, honestly.]

The plant magic I got here. What my Vision does...hmm. It's a little complicated to explain, but let me back up a bit. First, I should explain, every vision is unique. Alhaitham and I both have Dendro visions, but his powers are completely different from mine.

Oh. Good to know.

[So no architect dad getting into his mind and picking it apart. That helps him sleep better at night.

As Kaveh went onto explain the basics of Visions, Ranma's going to take a seat on a patch of grass, almost like a little kid listening to a story.]

Go on... [He's resting his chin in his palm, listening intently. Learning anything that could possibly be applied to combat is something he loves keeping track of. Just in case he ever fights Kaveh or Alhaitham for whatever reason... Which let's be real, probably isn't an impossibility.]

The Visions are granted to us by the heavens. Some say as acknowledgement for our ambitions, others for the crystallization of a dream. Either way, they're very...personal objects.

[kaveh summons Mehrak again, and has her project an image onto his own held out arm, visualizing the structure of his bones and veins.]

...I am an architect by trade and by heart. So naturally, my vision is similar to me, in that it's useful for understanding structures and their components. We are all made up of our component parts, and as living things, we have our own elemental energy. Bloom cores damage that energy, rather than being combustive like gunpower--they harm living things more than it does inorganic objects. But...for me, I simply convert the energy they let off into something more healing as it hits me.

Fremi told me something similar a while back about them.

[Just. Gonna hope slash assume Kaveh knows who that is, because the only answer Ranma'll give is 'shy sweet kid with self-esteem issues.' Ranma gazed at the visualized anatomy structure, trying to see if there's any noticeable difference between that and an ordinary one.]

So in a sense, it's a bit like my ki? [Ranma observed, before holding up his hand to let a faint blue glow form in his hand.] It converts the energy from inside or around you in order to do its part while taking in aspects of you. So because you build things up, your explosives create and restore rather than decay and destroy.

Oh, the explosives still very much damage other things. Demolition is a part of creation.

Anyone with dendro can react to make bloom cores. I'm just the only one who seems to be able to heal from them.

[Kaveh that's terrifying. But he blinks a little. Fremi...] Freminet?

Oh. Right. Explosives are pretty useless if you take out the destroying part of them. Minus your healing grenades.

[They're even green like grenades!]

We've met a few times. He's a really sweet kid.

Yeah, he's a good kid, if a bit of a wallflower from what I've seen from him. Though he did ask me to train him and help him get stronger. Surprisingly a lot stronger than what he looks, considering he has a freaking Claymore.
