Subject: Sidestep wants to do something about that alchemist
Warnings: Implications and possible discussion of slavery and sexual exploitation, planning to inflict violence on a (deserving) alchemist
You guys saw that alchemist asking for help "bringing back" his wife, right?
Well, he didn't. He created two new wives instead. You've probably seen them attacking the populace.
I don't know if he's ordering them to do this or if they need to feed on men or what, but if they don't please him he'll kill them and make new ones. I don't think it's a good idea to let someone run around creating and discarding living things on a whim like that.
Also, if we end up having to kill his creations he's just going to keep making new ones.
Ranma and I are going after him, but we could use some help. If you want to join us you can meet us at (They give a location far enough from the alchemist's house as to not arouse suspicion or set off any potential guards.)
(ooc: The log for attacking the alchemist is here!)

Technically speaking, they are his property. The alchemist can do as he sees fit with what is his. If we use the claim that we don't like what he is doing to what belongs to him, that opens it up for anyone to be criticized thusly.

People aren't property.

So enjoy a long pause.)
And if I asked you to prove you're a person?

Because I'd like to see you prove you have one, asshole.

After all, I wasn't about to say that at all. The question is whether or not the spell itself imbues the creation with a soul, not if created life can have a soul.
no subject
How are you so sure that souls are even real? Most people in my world just treat it as a shorthand for human level consciousness.

That's an interesting power.

If they wished to offer themselves up, that would be one thing. To bind another soul without their consent? Rather distasteful, if you ask me.

At least you have some standards, I guess.
I can't see or hold souls, but I'm pretty sure the wives are people. They understand their situation in a way most animals wouldn't.

[ Why is everyone so focused on that point? Goodness! ]
My, we truly are not considering all of the details here, are we?

Are you certain that you have an intelligent thought in your skull?

[That wasn't what she was getting at, but if it pisses him off, then she'll go along with it.]
Clever, bet it took all the brain cells rattling around your head to come up with that one. How do you do it?
no subject
[ Seriously. Just don't. ]
Instead of thinking to insult my person, realize the hard truth of my words: we were not thinking when the request was first issued. There was never going to be a revival of his wife, only ever a creation.

[Ranma's got a habit of being rude to people who could easily kill her. Someone like Alastor isn't new.
That being said...]
I'll give you that though. He did trick us. When I saw the blurb, thought he was going to resurrect his dead wife. We made a mistake then. Now, we're gonna correct it.
no subject
[ Because shadows and radiowaves are abundant and Alastor can use both. ]
Really, the entire "blurb" should have been a red flag. Who is to say that he wouldn't have been going against his wife's wishes, if his wife ever existed at all? You speak of these creatures about whether or not they should be treated like this, but what about consent of the deceased wife?

Big words coming from something that people hunt for sport.
[Oh yeah? Well she's got shounen protagonist abilities!]
I've seen people do crazier and more messed up things for their 'love' whether they want it or not. How was anyone supposed to guess he'd use a dead wife just to create his own personal slaves?
