TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

You'd be right. I mean I have a big family, but our culture prioritizes strength above all else.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, you know?

In my observations, a large family tends towards fights of inheritance. Have you needed to defend yourself often?

That is our way, yeah.

They very rarely came at me directly, but I had a few close calls.

The younger you are, the less of a perceived threat you are to those older as they are likely to obtain such things following the natural order.

[ Although, it also follows that those who are younger may arrange for their place in line to jump up a few spots by less natural, more devious means. ]

You must have had some ruthless relatives then.

Yeah, a little. The majority of us have different mothers and there's some animosity because our father ended up choosing my mother.

I questioned whether a top, bottom, middle, left, and right relationship could truly get along without jealously or favoritism forming...

The problems of the parents fall upon the children.

If you do not know, I feel I am the worst person to try to explain it as I do not fully understand it myself.

Then why do you use an expression you don't actually understand?

It is not an expression but more a labeling of... relationship logistics.

What I do not understand is why someone would willingly get into a relationship with so many people, especially when they are so many avenues for jealousy and competition over the affection of one.

Unless I am mistaken, you are referring to these relationships happening all at once with none of the women also in relationships with each other, correct?
