Given current events, I've had a few projects I've been pondering. I don't suppose anyone would be interested in making handmade fireworks? With precautions taken, of course, these are just for fun at festivals.
While I'm on the subject, how many of you are familiar with cameras, or other ways to take pictures, in your own worlds? Would you mind telling me much about them.
Ah, and one more thing. I've been considering getting some people together for a research project, of a sort. Or I suppose, something like a study group and a book club. I'd like to discuss it in person, though, so please feel free to drop by the Cafe.

For the first two, I'm not much help, though I'd be glad to hear of your findings.
As for the latter - hardly a surprise, but of course you could count me in. I'll be by the cafe as usual this evening with bells on.

I do think this endeavor might be exactly up your alley, Professor.

You've certainly piqued my interest, my friend. I have a feeling we have much to speak about.

He's not gonna say anything out loud (since the cafe is still open and people are around) but you know what you did, senior. He trusts he doesn't need to elaborate.]

[Kaveh snorts, but that's as close to acknowledging it as he's gonna get while he brings the man his coffee.]

we have cameras but don't use them much. they're primarily from other worlds. coming here and using the shellphones makes me thing it's a missed opportunity, really.
a research project? i'm cleaning right now but can come by later?

I've been wondering if there's a way to take better picture of text. The way things were uploaded onto the Akasha won't work here, but it'd be nice to be able to pull up information on the phone instead of risking your book getting wet, wouldn't it?
Come on by whenever you want.

It'd be a huge help. I haven't worked on this specific kind of technology before.

And of course! We'll be happy to see you, so long as you take care getting here in one piece.

I'm afraid I don't much about your second question. The only methods I know about capturing one's likeness is though physical media, such as drawings or paintings. There might be arcane means I am unaware of. I'm sadly not a wizard.
Though I am very interested in this research club idea of yours. Where is this cafe?
text; id: paradisaea
[Very exact. He'll even provide the precise ratios they want to avoid. He's a helper!]
Well, drawings and paintings are helpful, in a sense, but I'm hoping to develop something more instant. Easier to reference it for later that way, no? Painting does take time.
The cafe is on Eltrut! There should be enough space to avoid any...uh, discomfort unless things get more crowded than I anticipate.

A book club, you say? I do love words. Do I need to provide my own books for this function?
text; id: paradisaea
oh! No, not at all. There are plenty of books already provided to read here at the cafe.

I've used cameras in my world. I could join a book club for research as well.
[ So what if his research with books in this world has had a very narrow and personal scope? He still could do it.
Kaveh, please tell Sherlock that he
is groundedneeds to rest and not get involved. He's in no condition to jump into another investigation of this caliber. ]action
Sherlock, you should be resting.

That said... What sort of research are you getting up to, my dear Kaveh?
[He's volunteering because he needs distractions. His hands are itchy and his favorite indulgence is currently out of the question.]

Hmmm, I suppose you could say it's the kind of research that wouldn't be possible on Teyvat--about the origins, history and nature of this world.
[In other words, he's doing illegal shit but he's not going to say it on the network, Heizou.]

Could be fun. Haven't played with fireworks since I was a kid.
I know how to use a camera--my sister used to tell me to quit taking so many pictures all the time. But I couldn't teach you how to make one or anything.
Is it a good idea to talk in person?
[Stubborn as he may be when he has a reason, he's yet to really see how far he can push things when it comes to the brands.]
no subject
[Not that they ever really were but...well, you get the idea.]
Honestly I'm a little curious how cameras work in other worlds too, just for my own sake.
